What To Do When Your Xbox Doesn’t Update?

There are different messages that gets displayed on the screen whenever your console is not able to update anymore. Some of such messages are:

The method of restarting and power cycling the Xbox One

  1. Firstly, you need to go through the D-pad of your controller.
  2. Then, choose to Restart this Xbox.
  3. Next, tap A switch of the controller with Restart this Xbox chosen.
  4. After that, give time to the console for restarting.
  5. Then, observe whether the update is over or not.
  6. Note that if the update doesn’t complete, then you have to shut down the Xbox.
  7. After unplugging the Xbox from the power, you need you to wait for half a
  8. Then, plug the Xbox and switch on.
  9. Next, check if the update is able to get completed.
  10. Note that if the update doesn’t get completed, then you have to reset the Xbox one.

The method of resetting the Xbox One

  1. Firstly, switch off your Xbox one.
  2. Then, remove it from power.
  3. Next, you need to wait for half a minute.
  4. After that, switch on the Xbox by plugging-in.

  10. Next, choose to keep the games and applications.
  11. Then, give some time for the process to get over.
  12. After that, give a try for updating the console one more time.
  13. Note that if still Xbox One is not getting updated, then the culprit might be the bad network.

Clear the storage by removing apps and games

  1. Firstly, visit the games and apps.
  2. Then, look for the games that you don’t require or you don’t use.
  3. Choose the one you wish to remove.
  4. Next, tap on the menu option.
  5. Then, Manage game or else Mange app.
  6. After that, choose Uninstall.
  7. Note that you need to do the above procedure again till you have made sufficient storage for doing the full update.
